I use a big boi blower that is heated and filtered. They have three a hand held version and 2 roll around sizes I have the more powerful roll around one and it works awesome.I had the metro master blaster their most expensive most powerful blower and the big boi is easier to handle blows more air and hotter air and has a way better hose.

If your car is ceramic coated you will almost never need to break out the mitt.

If you want to do it yourself, watch some YouTube videos and do immaculate prep work to it. Get the paint looking as good as possible and remove all previous waxes, sealants, contaminants, etc. You’ll also want a dust free environment to let the ceramic cure after you coat it. My friend is a detailer and we did my car over the weekend. But well worth the aggravation.

Here's what I do with my Black SS:
Also in the hinge areas of the car and on my brakes and rims. With the Absorber, the less pressure you use the better. For the roof and windshield, I basically just let the Absorber glide over the surface with the weight of the Absorber only. Also when finished, be sure to keep the Absorber wet in it's container...not dried out. If you are going to seal your paint, be sure to clay your car's surface first. You can test the surface to see if you did a good job with the clay by using a zip loc baggie or plastic grocery bag. Just place your hand in it and run it over the surface, you will feel any areas you missed...it will feel like little bumps. You can also do a before and after test if you like. I hope this helps!

I have an old PB603 Echo backpack blower. It's considerably more powerful than whatever you will find at Lowes or Home Depot. I also take an 8 foot ladder so I can blow everything down. As stated previously, the volume is much more important than the speed when drying the car. It seems to work quickly and fairly streak free from what I can tell. Just don't fall off the 8 ft ladder with the huge backpack blower if you can help it.

I got one of these and it works very well.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-80-V...ded/1000486243 One charge is enough to blow the driveway clear of leaf-litter before getting The Mistress out for her wash, then blow dry her after. It has good balance and can be easily one-handed without fatigue. The charger has a built-in fan to keep the battery cool when charging. |
