Headers/Exhaust
This weekend we are installing my ARH LT's and long system exhaust. Has anyone done this same system ? Just wondering about any challenges. Do I really need to wrap my starter to protect it from exhaust heat ? Thanks

I put the 2 inch system on my 2018ZL1. It wasnt really all that bad! I had it on a lift and the driver side header went in from the bottom, after I un bolted the steering shaft. The passenger side went in from the top, had to move a few things around but it wasnt bad. I havent wrapped my starter but I dont live in South Fla either! Good luck!

I put an arh 2 in primaries long system in. Both went in from bottom. I did not take the plugs out or move the coolant reservoir. I did take the intermediate shaft out as well as the bottom aluminum bracing underneath. It was a breeze but it was on a 2 post lift

I installed the ARH headers and long system myself on jack stands in my garage...they're 1-7/8". It's been awhile but I think I did mine like 2018ZL1 did his. I had mine ceramic coated. The header install was pretty easy; I didn't have to move a lot of things except the coolant reservoir. Oh, the oil dip stick holder is a bit tricky so take note of how it's routed.

It's pretty straight forward. Just make sure before you bolt them up you don't have any clearance issues. If it's close, it might rattle or bang under load or heavy g's. Don't be afraid to dimple a spot or two for a little extra clearance. Another issue is the wiring harness over the passenger header. If you don't zip tie it away from the header it can burn up. These are issues we see with the 2" headers more often then not.
