Trifecta calibration
I keep seeing Trifecta "calibration" instead of "tune". Does anyone know what is in this product? Their support keeps calling it a calibration. Why? Anyone have success with this? Just curious. Thanks.

calibration and tune mean the same thing... white collar vs blue collar terminology.

They are probably trying to do a little EPA dodge- avoiding words that are likely to draw attention from computer driven searches, but what do I know about computers!
Trifecta was the rage for Gen5 cars- got in early on the "calibration" game. They provided good products, especially 2010 LLT V6's that (unfortunately) got an ECM chipped with a brand that had previously only been used on European performance cars (Ferrari, BMW, etc...). But Trifecta was started by a guy who knew how to tune it. I can't remember his name now (Vince?)- or the brand of the chip. I probably blocked it out after I installed a procharger on my 2010 V6 RS and had to find a guy in Germany to get it tuned right. Then it out ran 5th Gen LS's! Anyway, still got one of Trifecta's tuners. PM me if you want it for shipping cost. |
