If someone won't let me by for most of a lap, I come into the hot pits and ask the flagman to let me go out again when there is a gap in traffic. This is the advice given in some driver's meetings, but it's hard to implement in practice because you hate to give up any valuable track time. But it's worth it, to save aggravation.

I promise I’m flooring it to get around you but you gotta let off a bit lol!

I know what you mean. They see the Camaro grill and think it's an V8. I've had some conversations in the pits about needing to really lift for sub-400hp cars. But I had it worst when I tracked an NA Miata, that was my previous car before the V6 Camaro.

It's still super fun to catch up to cars that are faster in a straight line though!

Video was fun to watch!

Think it’s the first time I’ve seen someone track in the rain with ptm wet. Seemed to work pretty good! Most other clips, you could tell you were running race or fully off.

Was that an older 911 Turbo? Man, those things are still fast AF.

I can imagine with the NA Miata. The high HP cars pull on them so quick in the straights. The V6 Camaro still has 2x the power of a Miata.

I was on pace for a 1:39.xx PB Monday at Mid Ohio, and ran into a few Miata's at the end of the lap. PB went out the door.

The groups that I have run with have always had an "open door" policy. If you have an issue with a car, see them at the end of the session and voice your concerns. The fact that you even have VIDEO PROOF is gotta be more than enough to make them change their ways!

Happens all the time. I usually assume they don’t see me, though I know that’s not likely. I will wait a bit and eventually just pass them when it’s safe to do so even without the point by. Once you get into the more advanced groups, point by is optional but encouraged. Some people never point or wait for a point. You just have to watch your mirrors and know what’s coming. Being predictable is important.

Nothing crazy…..just good fun with my buddy following in his GT3 race car on slicks and me on NT01’s. At least I made him get loose trying to stay with me. We both ran new PB’s 2:02 at VIR full. I’m in a Z06 M7 and have huge respect for the ZL1 1LE….in fact I sold my Z06 and bought one.
