That was me. Whipple emailed me and said port was on their radar but the 3.0 blower was not yet set up for it. That said, I’m sure you could just drill the runners like Crawford Racing did for the 2.9 Whipple.

Looks the same as 2.9. Lt4 tensioner with the wider pulley.

I should have mine by the end of next week from Whipple. I reached out directly and they sold me on the upgrade from the 2.9. It uses the existing belt drive and what appears as the same radiator with new hoses and pump location etc. I was also told they are in the R&D stage on producing port injection plates similar to TooHighPSI

Did they take the 2.9 in on trade?

Negative, I am hoping to sale it shortly after the new install. Only downside is that it won’t be a complete used kit due to reusing the existing belt drive. Not sure what the market will look like for just a head unit.

What are you making for WHP now? Will you run the same pulley combo on the 3.0 as well? Interested to see a back to back comparison.

I’m running a 3.25 upper with the 7 lower making just over 7 at the wheels on lt4 fueling with a voltage booster. No E or Meth. Plan on making a comparison with the same combo then hopefully get more out of it with more fuel and some E.

I believe the Whipple 3.0 is going to make a bit more boost with the 3.25 pulley vs the 2.9 from what I researched. Did the guys over at Whipple mention anything about that?

They did not but I didn't necessarily ask either lol. They did mention the port injection plates as well as a standard and race port but still in R&D stages. More to come soon I hope.

I also plan on doing some other upgrades as well but I will try to get that comparison.

Not sure why you'd want this over the 2650. The hellcat guys are having tons of issues with quality and failures. These new gen whipples are far less reliable and quality than the earlier gens.

Yeah I'm thinking I'm just going 2650 on my new ride. My other though has been almost 9 yrs on the 2.9 with no issues except for a vacuum actuator. Still all the stories I've heard on here makes my decision. Reliability and warranty after the sale is #1. No time for bs.

From what I have read Most Failures on the Hellcats are from over spinning them. 18000 rpm is what they are rated for which should produce around 19-20psi. Above that guys are snapping the shafts especially on manuals with solid pulleys. I believe HC's have decoupler pulley system offerings? The Hellcat guys are also having issues with the 2650 but it's rear cog driven. Honestly there isn't really a reason for them to replace the 2.7 for 95% of the setups. The ones that do are pushing the 3.0 24-25psi.
