Well I do believe GM would not recommend anything that would somehow compromise the motor, as it has a long and track certified warranty. I actually think it is simple: just follow the recommended break in period. I had with all my cars and have had ZERO engine issues EVER. My old C5Z got tracked by me for 10 yrs hard and it is still going strong. So did my 19 1LE with some 45 hard track days. But, we are free to lisren to our favorite experts and we are free follow whatever procedures we desire. Heck, run it only during full moon if that's "recommended". And don't forget to have fun Cheers!

PS I doubt very much that any tuner knows exactly how a motor is prepped at a factory. Neither do they care, as they dont provide an warranties whatsoever. And I know for a fact, some refuse to keep up and still go with old beliefs, because that's all they know. Just my own 2 cents for whatever it is worth.
