2011 camaro navigation?

I know that GM said they wanted to include the navigation system in next years model. Do you think that us 2010 owners will be able to add that to our cars? Or will we have to go aftermarket?

Chances are they wont change it too much, most likely there will be a kit to install it in our cars.

GM has never said they wanted to add nav. Last Oct GM said they would look into adding nav as an option to the 2011 if it was a highly wanted option but a few months ago they made another press release that they will not be offering nav at all for the Camaro.

This is the one thing I wish my car had. I don't think they will be retro, but that is just opinion.

I have NEVER heard GM say they wanted to add navigation.

If someone here has knowledge of this, PLEASE post the info and source. GM has said repeatedly that the Camaro offers turn by turn navigation AND adding navigation to the car would increase the price of the car too much...even if there was more than a few people getting it. GM and the people I talked to were pretty dead set that the Camaro would not get navi.

I mounted this Garmin from the car I traded. Semi - permanent, hard wired just below in the driver side fuse box. Had to use a aftermarket inline converter. I still have the plug in power cord and suction mount if I want to use it in another vehicle.

I like.

GM has added the Navigation Option. It costs $2495. I saw it yesterday. It uses an indash Sceen Pioneer radio head unit, my favorite. I will surely be getting this installed soon.

Welcome to the forum Lexus6798!

Are you sure that is a GM option? I haven't heard of that on the '11's. I know people are putting those units in aftermarket though...

Yes, its a GM option. I went to Huffines Chevrolet in Plano, yesterday, and looked at it with my own eyes. I sat in the car and looked at the window sticker.

it is a dealer option not a GM optioned Nav system. We have offered a similar set up to the Local dealership here using Kenwood.

We also have an option, but requires some "modifcation" to the onstar button location.

this is something you may be able to find a local shop to do for you. we use the Directus Navigation Mirror.
