IAT's Post Meth

With the Magnuson 2300 what is the best way to read IAT's post meth. I know they make a breakout harness, I just help install one on my buddies Procharged Camaro. I want to say I read somewhere thou that you can change the map sensor on the back of the blower to a lt4 style... I'm not sure any help will be appreciated.

On LT1 engine equipped cars, the Magnuson setup should already have a breakout harness and the correct map sensor installed in back of the SC near the #7 lower manifold runner. IAT sae and MAT should show the temps post intercooler. IAT normally shows 10-15degrees cooler than MAT at times and is what the ECU uses for Spark correction.

Procharger base kits do not include a breakout harness and use the correct map sensor (LS9 3 bar) so the ECU can properly read boost. Which is completely Asinine imo. This is why your buddy added one.

Note LT4 cars are different for anybody with a ZL1 or Z06 reading this.

Ok... your right there is a BO harness there. So its already reading IAT's post meth.

I need to find that post... but Im positive that the 3 bar sensor does not read IAT's but the LT4 4 bar does. Im under the understanding that the IAT's are being read from the MAF sensor now.

The LT4 TMAP reads manifold temperature and pressure, unfortunately it's normally not located in a good location to measure temperature (a static airflow location is better for MAP) so it generally doesn't respond quickly for a good temperature reading - at least on a PD SC.

Correct, but I thought most PD setups run the LT4 map... at least mine does. Centri cars run the LS9 map.

Put a LT4 map in place of the LS9 and change the tune for it.

That is correct, the LT4 Maggie does use the TMAP, but with a breakout harness for moving the MAT to a different location.

If you have a Maggie 2300, you are already reading IAT1 (LT1) or MAT (LT4) post meth.
I've honestly don't think I noticed a huge temp difference with meth added on my 2300, but knock disappears and I could add more timing/boost.

If you have E85 in your area I'd ditch the Meth, consider the THPSI port injection for your 2300 as I did. I ran Meth/water on my 16 SS with 2300 and 2650. After finding out about the Port Injection and how it's made my car run I'd never run Meth again. Just sayin
