It looks a lot like a Camaro, which is true of the current Mustang too. Sitting in my son’s 2020 Mustang the view out the side mirrors is identical.
Not much changed cosmetically from the current Mustang. At least Ford isn’t catering to the testicle lacking crowd and rolling out an EV monstrosity like Dodge did. |

Initially didn’t notice but the front does look like a bit of camaro, especially the hood with the heat extractors. Ford must have taken notes from the six gen camaro, the wide rear end is also similar to a camaro. My one complaint with the design is the tail light area, they shrunk it even further and to raise it up they put a giant spoiler. Looks like still no head up display thats my understanding. As i also mentioned earlier the dark horse model msrp is going to be $65k plus before the adm. I would order a C8 at msrp (my dealer sells it for) and wait for it instead of spending that much money on a stang. The weight figures are not there but my guess is the car weights more, how much more time will tell.

My initial thoughts is I like it the front as others have mentioned has that Camaro cues to it the tail end would probably need to see it more to see if its something you can get used to or not. I like Flat bottom steering wheels in performance vehicles so plus there. I will be paying attention to see power figures and what the weight is. If things look good my Camaro might have a Mustang parked next to it in the future.

The Dark Horse is the only one that catches my eye. It has some good looking angles and I love the recaro seats. But, if it’s $65k I would still go with a ZL1 in 2024 providing you could even get your hands on either. No HUD, no heated or cooler air blown seats, sunroof not available if wanted and 150hp short. Over all an improved Stang that will offer v8 and manual trans for awhile longer, which is good.

It sure does seem like the vendor who supplies those displays is in all the new vehicles.

I definitely see the 6gen Camaro influences on the new Mustang. Wish GM would keep the Camaro in the lineup but seems like it will die soon!

As a Camaro owner, you may give up some alpha chassis goodness and lap time superiority but you pick up better visibility, modern interior and gauges, 480-500hp V8 with a 7,500 rpm redline paired to a Tremec 6 speed. If you are in the market, it is hard not to like that recipe as long as it is priced realistically.

The front end is terrible. I also don't like the giant daisy-chained ipad looking dash display.
