Alignment

Back in June I had new extremecontract dsw 06 plus installed on my 2019 camaro rs v6 along with an alignment from NTB. I've noticed that the car will drift either to the left or right and I have not really hit any pot holes to cause this the tires do have alignment wear indicators on the outer edges of the tires and noticed that they ate wearing out un- evenly. Is it possible that I got an incorrect alignment for this suspension for a V6 or did they just screw it up?

I just had Bilstein struts and shocks put on 3 weeks ago. It will drift to either side and sometimes go straight for a fair distance. I would not worry unless it pulled. I would be concerned about a bad wear pattern. I would go back and get them to check alignment and get a print out of specs.

Alignments can easily be off. Additionally, most shops will simply set the alignment according to "factory specs" and not take any particular details into account. I have had alignments done that irritated me to no end because they didn't bother to make sure my steering wheel was straight!

The kinds of roads you drive on can impact how the alignment gets done, too. For example - if you drive a lot on multi-lane highways, the way the road is crowned under your car will be slightly different than driving your typical two-lane roads around town. For the around town, you need the alignment set to slightly offset the slope of the crown (adjusted just slightly toward the left) so that the car feels like it tracks straight. Take that same car on the highway and drive in the left lane and you'll swear the car is trying to drive into the median on you!

If nothing else, it's probably worth a conversation with the technician and explaining more of what you're hoping for from the adjustment...

Just got back home NTB in yes the camaro was out of alignment, I can not believe by just hitting a small little bump in the road like a speed bump at 35 mph which i couldn't slow for would knock the alignment out. The service manager at NTB and their staff took great care of my camaro as they did with all my other vehicles glad I purchased the 3 year alignment policy as the service manager told me if you believe the alignment is ever out don't hesitate to bring it back in where more then happy to take a look at it.

Doesn't seem to take much sometimes to knock things out of whack. Glad you got it sorted.

The camaro never pulled hard it would just slowly drift right or left at any speed and now it's pretty much on mark straight as an arrow. Tires are brand new I just don't want to ruin them for what tires cost now a days.
