Not sure if I posted my 93 run but here it is.

Cars back in the shop, having trans issues so getting it rebuilt (again).

Who is doing the trans rebuild?

It's been quite a journey on this topic but i believe it's going to go out to pure to get rebuilt. It was originally built by someone else.

Clutches seem ok, they mentioned possibly an issue with the valve body but GM says its on backorder with no ETA.

No issues with the trans before the rebuild, basically right now its having a shift problem from 4th-5th. Sometimes never shifts, and when it does its shifting way past commanded speed. I believe also 2-3 had issues while on the dyno. Andrew was able to work most of it out via trans tune, but 4th to 5th is still a problem and im pretty sure its just applying a bandaid. Once it shifts, its not slipping or anything so really have no idea what issue is, and if its the valve body no idea how that would of suddenly failed.

Was also pulling massive amount of timing via torque management on the hit as well, as much as 21 degrees. When it did shift properly and no torque management issues it was a raped ape.

Was never right though since it came back from the rebuild though.

Since GM doesn't have a a damn valve body, may need to locate another trans and start from scratch.

So basically probably going to take the trans that's in it, sent back to builder and locate another one and send that off to get rebuilt by pure. This way can rule out any issues with valve body.

Hopefully one of them works

I’m my experience, it wasn’t the valve body. I’ve talked to 2-3 other users that have had stock trans issues, it appears the go to defense mechanicsm on these transmissions is the valve body. In all 3 cases it was not the valve body replacement that fixed the trans issues. I think it’s tactic GM uses to delay and continue giving the customer the run-a-round while they keep playing this 3 year old Covid blame game. Just my 2… not a fan of how GM handles part failures, particularly under warranty

As far as I’ve been able to tell Pure is the go to if your okay dropping a little coin. Also heard great things about Circle D converters..

Heard stangklr in a YT video about a week ago say GM is also claiming a back order on the torque converter for the 10l90.. really starts to make you wonder. If I had such a snafu with GM almost a year ago now.. if they are willing to do this with parts while the vehicle is still under production how are they going to act in 5 years when the car is in the sunset and they REALLY could give a..

Mines not stock, was already rebuilt. The builder thinks it’s the valve body not GM.

Yep.

We just located another trans and it’s going back to Tim for another rebuild.

New trans is rebuilt and back at CSP.

Let’s all say a little prayer.
