Conti ECS thoughts?
Anyone running The Continental Extreme Contact Sports in 295/30R20 square on the OEM rims for daily use? I have a good eye on a set for $400 and was wondering it it's a good idea. I wanted PS4Ss but for that price, I'd consider it. Any reviews? Do they last long?

Also, are they directional? If not then rotating then will help them last longer

They are asymmetrical tires.
I run a set of 285/35 front and 295/35 rear in 19" for the street. The TireRack views will give you a good idea of what to expect. If there is something more specific about them, I could maybe help answer those questions. |

For $400 for a new set dated to middle 2016, is it a good tire to use in Michigan for daily use only on the streets? Wet and come performance compared to stock tires? If they are just ok, then I'd keep an eye out for some PS4S tires. Also, is running a 295 square setup on OEM rims ok? I like that they are asymmetrical so I can rotate them for wear as I leave the car in track alignment

They are good tires. Slightly slower than the 4S in the dry, but similar perf in the wet. I had them on my SS, they are a bit squishy comparatively.

Yes id be rotating them side to side on the stock 1LE wheels. Wont really give that much tread life gain, but it will help them wear more evenly

Also, these are dated around 3616. Is that too old to even look at for daily use?

Overall, they are a touch below the PS4S, but are a very good tire. They are a "summer tire" but are OK for April-November in Michigan. Winter months are iffy (as you know). They are much, much better than the SC3 in wet conditions. They are also quieter. |

No never used. Bought with intent to use, but never did. Still sticker tires. said they were stored in a climate controlled garage in Michigan.

Wondering if the 11" rear tire is ok for these 295s also. Dont want the rim sticking out past the tire

Swapping side-to-side isn't going to gain you anything at all in tire wear.

I agree, that's why I had to ask if he was running a square set up. Unless you go square set up I would leave the tires where they are personally. Maybe he makes consistently more right or left turns?
