There are no deserted roads in my area only a couple streets that aren't gridlocked or full of speed bumps.

They must have heard my straight pipes 3 blocks away or those women were all on their phones with each other.

If you got the fat mama finger (x4) you know the car working properly!

OP Take your LT1 to a track and see what you can do. The lighter car should make up for a little less traction. But if the GM bog is there in the 2020s there is that to try to overcome. Chevy says the right clutch modulation can minimize the effect, but I never found it. :(
What do you mean "Chevy says..." Do they have a blog here or something?

I was gonna say use the dash timer or buy a Dragy. That other thing you were using is likely not correct.

I understand you are still use to the old Mullet mobile...take the time and google some info on the tech of your new car. There is plenty of info out there and It's really not that hard to operate.

That's the way I use it as well.

If you're getting 4.8 with launch control, you probably have a 4.5 with a 1.75-2k RPM clutch dump and maybe better with a slightly higher rpm clutch slip.

Putting in a skip shift eliminator tonight, Lowered the front with bmr springs and added an amp and speakers, k&n filter.
planning on some fat stripes, ground effects, spoiler and rims as time goes on.

I just saw you're in Tampa, we should do the forum a favor and find out if an LT1 is faster than an SS. Question has not been answered yet.

You might want to update the thread title with your 4.8 sec and further improvements as time goes on

(Edit the first post in advanced mode to change the thread title.)

Forgot I chucked my floor jack. Car is to low to drive up my ramps.
Might have to wait until I get the oil changed to get eliminator installed.
