(Video) 2018 V6A8 with engine and transmission tune. Really woke the car up

Hey just sharing a video of my 2018 RS V6A8 doing a few pulls after its initial engine and transmission tune. Not me driving...let my friend take it out to feel the difference and he recorded his adventure lol

Only other thing the car has is a CAI. It's so much more savage now after the tune though. I love it.

Tune was done at Corvettes of Westchester in Ossining NY.

*Edit - Added second video of a 0-120 test run, me driving (quietly lol)

Very nice! Would love to tune mine but don't wanna mess with the warranty. Any before and after dyno and/or track numbers? Shift point in about 7300 now?

Exactly what was tweaked?

I'm considering getting a Soler throttle body (because it really improves the throttle response). Someone posted in this forum that a tune will also do that.

So, I'm curious if that was part of the tune, and what else was done.

Looks strong! Did they street tune the car or dyno tune it?

You seem to be consistently hitting the limiter on the 1->2 shift, the tune might be a little too aggressive there. Great pulls, though

I noticed that too. Ideally the car would shift a few hundred rpms before the limiter. I think they could do with making the car shift a little harder.

Im pretty sure it doesn't void the warranty. From my research it seems like the dealer may of course try and claim my warranty is voided if I have a problem, but they would have to prove that the tune is the cause of whatever problem im trying to use the warranty for...and that is pretty impossible for them.

Unfortunately I never got the car to a track before i had it tuned. I planned to but never got it there, which i regret for sure. It would have been nice to have the comparison.

Yeah if im not mistaken its 7300 at the lower gears but closer to stock shift point at higher gears like 5th and up

Im having the shop who did the tune jump on the forums in a bit to answer some of the more specific questions.

Yes definitely. I still have to bring it back for fine tuning. We wanted to get some miles on it with the new TCM to let it learn a bit, then get the final tweaks in Thanks!
