Help my ET and 60'---bone stock

I have a 2017 1SS A8. only 3200 miles on it. Finally went to the track 2 weeks ago. Clicked off a 12.509 @113.95 mph 2.10 60' on the first pass. Minimal light burnout,Nannies off, spun some out of the hole. ET got slower on the following 6 passes with added traction issues. To be honest, the track sucked. little to no prep.
The track went away as dew settled in the evening. DA was 1700-1800'. i have been practicing launch on the street for a bit, and i thought i had it down. Apparently not!!! i know there's at least a couple of tenths in it with good traction and weather conditions. I am looking for all help and advise on launch technique to improve 60' and ET. My goal is to get on the BONE STOCK fast list before i do bolt ons.
All help appreciated, thanks!

Just keep at it. Get as many runs in at test and tunes as you can. Try different techniques. Launch control on, launch control off with stab-and-steer. 3/8 tank of gas, air up your front tires to +40 PSI to reduce rolling resistance, air down your rears to 22 PSI, empty your trunk. Watch the the weather forecast and aim for cool dry days. Is that possibly in TX/LA? Try a different track. The old worn track was 0.28 faster (based on PB at each track) than nice track where they hold NHRA events. Went from first event in the summer heat of 2017 and 12.83 @ 110 to 12.11 @ 114 in Oct 2017. Did not know about tire pressure or think about gas tank level at first event. That PB was stab-and-steer, but was hard to duplicate. At that point when I did my PB, I really didn't think there was much left in the car. Now I have a CAI and wider stickier tires on 1LE replica wheels, so no longer bone stock. The new goal is to break 12.0. We shall see.

Good luck,
Bill

wrankin gave you some very good advice. seat time is a must. ive only got 3 runs down the track in my car so far. so I need more seat time myself. I also ran a 12:51 at 114 mph. you can also take out every bit of weight that you can out of the car. clean out the trunk, floormats, clean out glove box. take out back seats and psg seat if you want to et real serious.

Just wanted to add that the day I did my PB and other very low ETs, they were some of the first runs of the day. I spoke to the one guy working at the track about it being fast and he said they put plenty of "glue" down, whatever that is

a well prepped track makes all the difference in the world.

Make sure you document your launches until you find something that works. I usually recommend to stab the gas as hard as you can before it will spin. 1/4 throttle 1/2 throttle.....as much as you can get out of it. Once you know you're hooked get it to the boards and go. You can shave some time off that 60 foot all day. Or just hit us up for some drag radials and call it a day.

Some ideas:

Make sure that you line up in the groove, meaning the tire tracks that have rubber laid down.

Stock rear tires, factory prep manual says 26psi, I was using 27, had not seen the manual at the time. Some people go pretty low like 20 or 22.

Avoid the water if you can, go around it and do a DRY burnout.

Experimentation will be needed to find what works for you. I found that revving the engine a little on the line seems to leave softer, so if traction just sucks, you might want to try it. I say softer leave because doing the light rev gave me 12.1 when launching from idle gave me 12.0@114 on the same day, bone stock like you want to race as.
