The Answer To The Question

The answer to the question who is faster GT350 or SS1LE . There two video that I think can help shed some light on that question.
and
. I don't think you can ask for an more unbiased test on bought cars . To me it really points out there no better track car than the Camaro SS 1LE at its price point.

Thanks for the videos. I'll stick with the SS/1LE.

I liked both videos. I'm with nancygrl, I'll stick with my SS 1LE, though I have nothing against the Mustang.

It looks like if you're willing to drop about $13,000 over the cost of a SS 1LE you can get a Mustang that will match (roughly) the SS 1LE. If you're willing to drop $26,000 over the SS 1LE you can get a Mustang that's slightly faster than the SS 1LE.

OR, you could take that $13,000 and buy a ZL1 and have a car that would beat both Mustangs easily.

What I thought was important about the video was all the ford fanboys talk about the GT350 like it was made by God and there was no way a Camaro SS 1LE could hang with it. The video show that not the case . The GT350 with 75 more HP , cup2 tires and more down force is just barely able to beat the SS 1LE. There so close it a drive race and with the SS 1LE costing way less. The SS 1LE is the better track car dollar for dollar.

And with the cheaper camaro you don't have to have the worry about it blowing through an engine in the back of your mind.

You also don't have to pay Ford dealer's Fanboy markups on those models, so the price gap is greater than MSRP to MSRP if we're honest.

Plus a 1ss would have a cheaper msrp and be just as fast.

What's really funny is the SS 1LE is basically 4 seconds ahead of a Hellcat Redeye:
https://youtu.be/ZbAPsNJKtxY

And nearly 7 seconds faster than the Challenger Scat Pack Widebody:
https://youtu.be/JyImmtLSV34

Granted the guy looks more bundled up in the Challenger videos so the weather conditions are likely less idea than when he tested the 1LE, but still a very large difference between the laptimes of the cars.

Or faster if you're not comparing the two cars on tracks with long straights where the extra HP can be used. Most of the tracks I run are 3 miles in length or less and I have no issues with GT350 or R. Must say they do look good in my rearview!
