I work off shore, so if I am going to a dock or heliport in south Louisiana that's what my F-150 is for. When I am home, so long as it's not raining I'll drive the 1LE.

I don't drive mine daily. It's not what I consider to be a good daily driver at all. It guzzles gas - 93 octane no less. It's hard to get in and out of. It has terrible outward visibility. It's big, making it challenging to park on a daily basis without getting dinged. And driving it in snow? - no thanks!
But I admit that not everyone is in the same financial situation where the Camaro can be a fun weekend and once-a-year track toy. My 2003 Mini Cooper is much better as a daily driver. Easy to hop in and out of, plenty of visibility, 28 mpg city at worst, small enough to fit in any parking space, huge cargo opening, quick tight steering, and it's a manual. It's fun. I try to keep it from getting nicked, but certainly not obsessed about it like I am with the Camaro - if the Mini gets dinged, who cares - it's 16 years old! Earlier in my life, I was not in a position to have multiple vehicles, so I daily drove Z28s, Mustang GTs, even an Olds 4-4-2 W-30, because I could only own one car and it had to be a fun car. So I totally understand those who own a 1LE as a daily driver - hard to beat it when it comes to the fun factor. I love to drive mine, more than any car I have ever owned, but just not on a daily basis. 3700 miles and still immaculate after 16 months of ownership.

NeverDie nailed it exactly. My commute is a perfect example of mundane. 6 miles, 17 traffic lights, speed limit 25-35, no curves. The 1LE is such a waste on that commute. Not to mention a parking lot next to a train track next to Long Island Sound - if the seagulls don't get you, the train dust will for sure. Yeah, it may seem dumb that you drive a boring car when you have that superstar in your garage, but it sure is special every time you do drive the 1LE.

I'll be daily driving mine, but my commute is super short, so the gas mileage isn't a big deal and the garage I park in has large spaces, so it's not been too bad so far.

Just checked my mileage after 1900 miles, 20.3. Mostly in city, short highway segments and surface streets, trips on the weekend in the summer.

My mpg got better as the miles added up, getting mostly 23.5-24mpg per tank calculated, not going by the DIC.

Never reset my B trip odometer since new and it's reading 17.6 mpg and 29 mph averages. And I try to maximize fuel economy most of the time, even trying to get skip shift to engage.
Maybe my engine is defective or not running right?
