FWIW, I had something similar happen a few years ago to my DD. Body shop pulled the bumper clip and repaired (3M kit) then painted. They charged my insurance co. $850.
I should talk to my insurance. I’m going to miss work tomorrow and go body shop shopping. Sucks now I have to take time out of my hands and get this shit done.

I have safeco my deductible is $250. Full coverage. No rental car.

Safeco is good. If you tell the body shop you have Geico or Progressive they make a face. Evidently, those aren't as good to the body shops as Safeco.

Why save at most $250 to have an accident report on your vehicle?

That’s what I’m thinking. I’m trying not to use my insurance.

Man, I'm sorry!

Do they make a trunk protector for the vehicle? I'd guess probably not for a Camaro but for many cars one of those would cover the scratched area entirely. Personally, I might just buy a piece of black PPF and install it so it looks like it was a trunk protector but I'm a cheapskate on some things.

I'd also agree to not file a claim if it's only gonna save you $2-300.

I think they do, I’m gonna see if I can have a shop install PPF on the trunk. I use it all the time.

I'd get an estimate before contacting your insurance co. Tell the shop it's a cash repair. There's no way I'd use my insurance though. I'd also make sure they remove the cover to repair and repaint it.

If I find the person that did it. I agree.
