Steering Wheel "SET" Switch Rattle
My car is rather squeak and rattle free EXCEPT for the "SEL" switch in the middle of the controls on the right steering wheel spoke. The button has always felt a little loose, but it works fine.
Is there a way to stop this annoying noise? Can the cap that says "SEL" on it be removed and replaced with a drop of glue or a piece of electrical tape to make a tighter fit? If so, how do I go about removing that cap without damaging anything else? I still have extended warranty on the car, but hate taking it on for such a problem, and risk other damage to my car while at the dealership. Thanks! Try the extended warranty, the only way to 'fix' it would be to replace the button module which is the entire thing. You have to remove the steering wheel airbag to do so
