Is the differential guidance only for eLSD cars? Convertibles have the standard mechanical rear diff.

I don't think it would matter. Changing the eLSD fluid is different from changing the gear oil in the main pumpkin which is what the original post is talking about. Other members may know better than me.

I have a 2020 ZLI AND it came with a free oil change under “complete chevy care protection”. But the small print said that the oil change has to be in accordance with the “manufactures recommended maintenance schedule”. When does GM RECOMMEND the first oil change?

I sat with BeckyD and ready the manual trying to find that and never could. Someone is going to have to show that one to me. 1,500 seems much more reasonable... especially if you are following proper break-in procedures.

It’s in the track prep guide. See link in post #209.

Thank you for the precise info. I couldn’t think of where I saw it but I was certain 500 mile change was recommended.

I believe I attached the track prep guide to the OP. Let me check.

Edit: Yup it's there.

I knew I could draw that info out.

And wasn't the track prep guide edited or missing something at one time.

Yes, it was amended to add a warning about the OEM tires being dangerous in certain weather conditions.

I still haven’t gone to the dealership for that. I believe it’s a piece of paper they hand you to add to your owner’s manual.

Oh yeah, that's correct. Not a piece of paper I need for sure.

The oil change interval of 500/1500 is not in the manual. It says wait for the oil life indicator, once a year, or 7500 miles. It does say for 1le to use 15w50 for track and change after the event. It also states rear differential change at 20hrs of track time and the auto trans is the same.

That being said, I have no idea where that performance manual came from. However, I will say it doesn’t hurt to do the 500/1500 if you are so inclined. I’ll probably wait for 1500 to change the engine and diff. I’m not beating on the car right now since it’s new and still breaking in.
