No that was a fresh pull, then another fresh pull after the install. We never let it get heat soaked on the first pull and we always cool it off for the pull with upgrades. That is the best way to see what you really gain. I feel like heat soaking the first pull is how some people show gains of 20hp with a cold air intake kit lol.

any advantage to porting the msd intake? also how big of a difference do you think porting the 95mm tb would make?

We did a slight port on one MSD manifold, full bolt on car. It gained maybe 1hp. But I would say a full port job would be worth some power. The ported TB should gain another 2-3 hp over the stock version on a bolt on car.

Just need to get this straight- these are direct bolt on parts with good installation instructions... just bolt and go, right?
They are still not cheap but mighty tempting. Is there a core trade in exchange for your stock IM or TB? How about a canned custom tune for these mods plus other pre-existing mods like 2nd cat delete or GM CAI? With the purchase of a hand held tuner of course. I've been pretty "hands off" on this car so far but I'm starting to get that itch! Thanks! |

These parts have been bolted directly on to an otherwise stock car and required no tuning. I can't say that if you have other mods that it won't require some adjustments in the tune. At this time we don't offer any kind of tuning that we can mail out. It is always best to have custom calibrations made once you start doing lots of mods like cat delete or headers. |

Thank you Matt- sounds like good advice!
Now who's the best Chevy tuner in Vegas? |

You've got me on that one. I hope that in the next year we are going to start reaching out to install shops in person. That way we have a list of shops that we can recommend in this case.

No worries but one last question (sorry, I'm getting a bit thick in my old age)- so what we're seeing on your graph is the larger 95mm TB doing away with the previous loss in power comparing the stock IM vs the MSD below 5K rpm or so- is that the way you're seeing it?
Thanks! P.S. also I meant to ask if I purchase this package from you, will it come directly from you (IOW the IM will have all its mounting bolts and necessary parts, etc...). |

In for more testing.
With a cam & that induction combo it should pull quite nicely to 7k. |

Thank you Mr. Apocolypse! I'll look into them.
Any other suggestions for "Best of..." in Vegas? Also still hoping to get your opinion Matt- this combo basically retains the stock bottom end torque and then gives you the top end rush gained by the MSD alone, correct? Thanks and hope you had a good holiday weekend! |
