Amazon Rotors and Pads

Hello, has anyone used these amazon rotors and pads? I need to replace mine as the steering wheel shakes at highway speeds while a brake (I got the wheels re-balanced and that didn’t fix it). Just wanting to know it’s a good product and will fit my car like OEM. Thanks!Name: 53661D8C-B4B2-4112-ACAB-C3AB09D4DB5D.jpg

I’ve seen what I ‘thought’ were decent packages that included drilled / slotted rotors. Who has run a “middle of the road” drilled rotor with genuine Brembo pads? Asking for it? I know I could look it up but... And who would recommend using straight stock (Brembo) stuff only? I tend to go OE parts in my old age. To many times been burned.

Cheapest I would go with is Powerstop or StopTech. I went with the StopTech drilled and slotted set, but I changed to Hawk Ceramic pads after a couple thousand miles because the pads they came with were ass. If I was tracking the car I would change to a slotted or regular rotor to avoid cracking.

Looks like they used a generic picture that they probably use on all their different vehicle listings.

So, you’re saying slotted-drilled is more for show? Or does damage only occur with the stress of the track?

I have no data to back any of this up, but I have just heard so many people say that drilled rotors are prone to cracking, especially if tracked. No idea if it's true or not though. Personally, I can definitely say that I got them 100% for show. They sure do look cool.

Drilled rotors supposedly help dissipate heat and the slots help sweep away the microscopic layer of brake dust each time you apply them.

And yes, they look great too.

I bought mine on Amazon last year. Brand is "Detroit Axle". I paid $168 last year. Looks like they've gone up to $198 now. Full set. They have performed quite well for me.

I like how these are Callahan brakes. Good to know Tommy saved the factory and is doing good! I'm sure you've seen what happens with "the other guys brake pads".

sorry I have nothing useful to add

I switched over Granatelli drilled and slotted w/Hawk performance ceramic pads 7 years ago. Got rid of those ugly roller skates. The club I belong to run the Watkins Glen road course twice a year. And i have never had a problem with them getting to hot or cracking. And on the track you do alot of braking. I put 35,000 miles on them.

you need to be careful with amazon, a lot of counterfeit parts out there. amazon will honor a return , but you are really the one who suffers. buy from a reputable source
