Front Quarterpanel Emblems
I have a 2017 Conv. 2SS and was wondering if anyone noticed that the front quarter panel Camaro emblems were crooked. Driver side looks like its angled with panel line slightly off-horizontal, but the passenger side looks to be angled more not even following panel line. I'm thinking of asking dealer to fix. Any insight?

Never noticed, but I believe you would be assuming a large risk in reaping more harm than good by asking a dealer to correct that.

A hair dryer, fishing line, tape measure, masking tape, and a good quality double sided sticky tape; and you can do it yourself. And you are going to need some rubbing alcohol and cotton balls. Plus it will most likely be straighter and match side to side. If you are as OCD as I am about those kind of things, this would be the way to go. JMHO

You mean the front fender?
The quarter panel is what's behind the door circling the rear tire |

They put my passenger one on crooked. Getting the dealer to do it was like pulling teeth so I think I'll have to do it myself. Thinking of removing them altogether

If you want to remove them, take heat gun, heat up the emblem, and just pull it off. Or take a piece of fishing line an saw it off. |

Quarter panel:
A quarter panel is the body panel (exterior surface) of an automobile between a rear door (or only door on each side for two-door models) and the trunk (boot) and typically wraps around the wheel well. The similar front section between the door and the hood (bonnet), is called a fender, but is sometimes incorrectly also referred to as a quarter panel. I should have called it the bonnet! |
