The drive doesn't concern me... it's breaking something at the track and needing a 2hr tow home.

Then dont break anything ? lol

FFS, last 2 events I've been at I've broke two gearboxes.....still managed a 250 mile drive home with one ( lost 5/6 gears, so max was 4th ), and 120 mile with the other with it jammed in 6th gear ( ripped all the teeth off 5th gear and teeth got stuck in the selector plate, clutch wasnt happy lol )

Shit happens.

Just get a quote on a tow home and keep that cash in reserve. Couldnt be more than $200 and insurance will cover up to $100 if u have it on your policy.

Get AAA. I think its $110 a year and you get 4 tows. You get up to 100 miles per tow and $1/mile after 100 if you need to go further. Has saved me a couple times and pays for itself after the first time.

If I had a built car and wasnt worried about breaking, then I would drive it. Unfortunately I am still on stock shortblock, stock tranny and stock rear.
