Ya my fronts were 16.4. I weighed the Popular drag stars and the 17x10 were 23lbs and 17 x 4.5 were 20.Name: 3FE64939-8FB8-4416-ADED-A60C347EFCD5.jpg

We know that the subject of this thread (RC Components) weighs 20 lb for the 17x10 rear with 7.25 backspace, which is very decent IMO, particularly for under 700 bucks a pair. Same guy reported in this thread that the 17x4.5 front skinny from RC Components was just 16 lb.
22 lbs for the 17x10 vms wheel. How much under 700 for a pair are they?

Ok, that's not as bad as expected from the results for their front wheels.

Price that I saw for the RCs in 17x10 with 7.25 backspace (should be like Duramcr1 has) was 628.xx for a pair with shipping included. I used to have the Weld 17x10s with a 7.2 backspace, so I'd guess that these wheels sit in a good place as far as wheelwell location. Some of the popular Drag Stars have a 6.0 backspace, and they stick out more than I think is correct for this car. Obviously that last is personal preference.

Thats a fair price and the VMS wheel also has a 7.25 inch back space and can use the OE conical seat lug nuts

I just realized your in NH, my tires and wheels that are in the picture I posted are in the Concord NH area at my buds house. I have 305 45 17 MTs street Rs mounted on them. Bought the tires very very slightly used with 2020 dates right there in NH for $450.

Adding a few more weight results to the discussion here.

Guy that I know has the 92 Drag Stars and he weighed them in functional condition (not bare).
17x10.5 rear custom offset with 305/45-17 ET-R (rated 31) average 56.2, so estimate 25.2 for wheel

17x4.5 front with 28x6x17 S/R (rated 25) average 44.7, so estimate 19.7 for wheel

He also checked one of my 17x10 RT-S with 275/40-17 ET-S/S (rated 31) and got 52.1, so estimate 21.1 for wheel

I checked a Weld RT-S 17x5 with S/R 26x6x17 (rated 18) and got 36 on a different scale, so estimate 18 for wheel.

Wow super low price that you had. The price that I listed was supposed to be in stock today, there was a special order wheel listed very low much like yours, but to me, if they cannot ship today, then I consider a price to only be theoretical, so I left it off.

That is a good price, I paid $520 for the VMS wheels and no tax and shipped to New Hampshire. All for my 2021 LT1 like yours.

Conical seat is the way to go IMO. Drag Stars use a shouldered lug nut which sucks donkey balls, yes I have mounted them on a car, and my old Welds using conical nuts were far superior. Nice to know that there are now several modestly-priced wheels that avoid those crappy Race Star lug nuts.

You should be ok if they're only 2 yrs. When the rubber gets old like 4~5 years, then you might spin more than expected. Of course, if you race enough, then you'll wear them out before they get too hard from age. Your car should be WAY in the 11s now, it has E85 and LT2 intake manifold?

Yes that is correct, E85, LT2 intake, conservative tune by Jannetty.

I was looking for a conical seat wheel and a 5x120. Jegs sells a competitively priced wheel but with a 6.5 inch back space, a 4 3/4 bolt pattern and a miserable lug set up that requires a special very skinny socket and never considered drag stars because of the lug type.

Love the more tire/less wheel look.
