Battery Protection Package - Worth it?
About to place a ZL1 order with the dealer. Was looking at the Battery Protection Package ($130). Is this just a regular Battery Tender, or does it actually provide a charging port (or other special connection) actually on the car....vs just regular alligator clamps? Worth it?

It looks like a regular Tender. I haven't even opened it, lol. You could probably find something just as good for a better price. I use an Optima and have no problems. It came with the car, so I didn't really care.

I'll be honest, when I ordered it, I was just looking for options to add on for the hell of it. Its not worth the money.

I believe it’s a regular CTEK tender. It’s only 20-30 bucks more for the same thing so nothing horrible price wise

The main question is are you actually going to use it. I have my battery tender from other past vehicles and just use it.

Only good thing about it is if you order it with the car it should be under warranty for 3 years.

I learned my lesson the first time, my battery died after being on travel for work 2.5 weeks, came home to a car that was dead as a door nail. Got it jumped, and it went straight into limp mode, took a hell of a time to get it out of that mode. I bought one ASAP, since I could barely drive a 650hp beast up my driveway haha, it’s good insurance either way if you plan on storing it for long periods of time.
