Pop when making sharp turns.

Took the car to the track for the first time since I bought it back in Oct. Made 3 passes with it. After the first pass i heard it pop when going around a car in the lanes but, didn’t pay any attention to it. When going home i noticed it would pop when making sharp turns left and right and there is a small shift in the the rear end when it pops. Has anyone had this issue before?

Most likely drag racing. OP, did you check your rear wheels and lugnuts?

Took to the drag strip. Sadly, there isn’t a road course near me. I did not check the lug nuts. I will look at that. The car has probably 25 -30 street passes with the draggy but, the first pass at the strip it hook better that I thought it would. I’m going to put in on the lift tomorrow if I get a chance and look around. Hoping it something simple.

Well, took it to my dads shop and the clutches are sticking in the rear differential. Gotta get some fluid and additive so we can crack it open.

He drove it. Listened to how it would pop only when turning. He has been a ASE certified tech since the 90s. Rebuilds differentials in just about anything. Has also raced just about anything with a engine in it.

Ah nice. A lot of use are using the oe fluid that is premixed with additive. So the amount is correct and don’t have to mess with having too much or too little
