This is what you get when the wealthy get what they want. Call me a conspiracy theorist or whatever, but honestly go follow the money. From the "It's just two weeks" stage, to crude magically going negative, the fear mongering, forced business closings, destruction of the middle class. Go forward to massive inflation thru entirely stupid handouts on the taxpayers tab that started with Trump and massively increased with Biden. The Russian attack on Ukraine and now with elections coming up, hey no more masks.......... Personally, I miss mean tweets and 2.30 for gas.

It also all fits in nicely with the climate change morons who can't see the forest thru the trees..... Hello electric car...

Big pharma won, middle class was hammered, billionaires got richer and anyone without hard assets is watching everything go thru the roof.

no conspiracies or politics

2020
pandemic ravaged the planet, economy tanked and so did demand for fuel and fuel prices. so much so that we cut supplies of gas in the hope that prices would go up. this is a normal.

2021/22
economy came back with a vengeance and fuel prices rose. this time around we released reserves to try check rising prices.

ukraine/Russia--yes, any disturbance which affects an oil producing region anywhere in the world will affect supply and prices. there is one global price for oil.

inflations--again, the pandemic wreaked havoc on the planet and took its toll on the supply chains. if it becomes endemic, things should get better.

usa oil production
we have become extremely good at producing oil, so much so that we sell some of it. again, however, there is one global price for oil.

The argument I hear from the rich people in the RV fourm is gas is still very cheap here and they have no plans of changing anything. People with racehorses and artwork will be unaffected by these prices. So is it really a problem?
People with private security have no issues with the rising crime, is the rising crime really a problem? Not to them

I have to laugh at those from CALI, you guys are paying the same price for a Gallon as we are in Socialist/Communist Canada.

My country has tons and tons of oil, where? Still in the ground.

These politicians are doing nothing to ease the pain at the pumps.

I'm happy I decided to go E85 on my 2022 Lt1 as I did on my C7 I sold in December. I'm not sure what the price is today but last week it was 2.69 and I've been running 87 octane in my 2021 6.2 Silverado since I bought it, however when I tow I run 93 octane. If you don't run your car hard you can back down to a lower octane if your careful. If your modded its probably not a good idea. GM considers 91 high octane since that's all California has so its safe to run that. My Camaro lost about 5 mpg but if I'm just cruising and don't get on it I can still get 24 mpg running 80 mph. E85 is the ticket if you have it in your area. Smells good also.

Yep , rich people are happy about the high gas prices it clears the roads off for them. They have no sympathy. I belong to several RV forums and they couldn’t be happier about this gas double or tripling they have plenty of money and they want less cars on the road and less campers in the campsites it’s a win-win if you’re rich. You don’t have to deal with any of the poor people getting in your way of having fun

EV isnt the answer as far as price. Just wait till they start introducing specialized charging systems you have to pay subscriptions for. Once we've irreversibly gone down the EV road, theyll find a way to make electric just as expensive as gas. Consider the fact that some companies are double charging for things like heated seats, and privilege to use your key fob to unlock your car.

This politically charged atmosphere does not help the gas situation. When the politics change in a new administration we might see some relief. But still how the rest of the world goes so do we. Until then just suck it up, there is no choice.

There are a few factors that are still in my control, when regular gasoline is $6.00 a gal CDN.

1. I might not drive it as much this summer. Making all my trips shorter.

2. Fill it with regular gas

3. Leave it parked in the Garage with its blanket over it and pray for cheaper gas.

4. Sell the Camaro

My wife just about lost her mind about the last two.
