I recommend if you have a 19 you get familiar removing this, took me a bit to figure it out the first time.

Tow Hook

Anyone know what the actual size and threading is of the tow hook?

I went to Home Depot and nothing they had matched. Seems like it might be a metric 17mm (it measures 17mm and it was bigger than the M16, which was the largest [nut] size that Home Depot had).

It is hard to get out the first time, but easier once you see how it's in there.

See this thread for modifications to the grille insert for the ZL1 addons tow bar.

Ok. So I have a 2019 LE RS that I want to add an actual usable tow hook. The only track in my area requires one. I found the tow hook in the trunk but I don’t see those tabs on my grill to access the mounting hole. The owners manual shows the SS model tow hook install. Does the V6 LE not have the ability to add a tow hook?

The 2019 rs V6 camaro which I own also came with a tow hook but what I found out there is no removable section of grill nor is there a place to screw in a tow hook. If you take a flashlight and look in very closely you will see there is no place for a tow hook which makes me wonder why my 2019 rs camaro came with a factory tow hook?

The middle piece broke off on mine. I am not the most nimble hands in the world. It worked out ok, the fake tow hook tread through just fine and the hole in the grill is not as big. Its hard to notice that i broke the piece out.

Doesn't bother me one bit.
