Ember nailed it. I'm at 49K+ miles on my Camaro and I've had exactly zero issues.

My 2016 SS A8, well that's a different story. Thankfully those issues belong to someone else now.

You would likely get more productive responses if you didn't outright insult everyone on this forum by calling the Camaro, "This 2016 Camaro SS convertible is the biggest turd I've owned in many cars. It's about the crappy designing and piss poor quality of some of the parts."

There are fixes for the minor issues you have. They are well documented.

Don't like the problems, get rid of the car.

Or maybe stop bitching about it and get those things fixed.

So what if its out of warranty. If you can afford to have a summer and winter house, I think you could swing paying to fix your car.

As a fellow 48 year old whose been on car forums since they were called bulletin boards, here's a piece of advice: Don't make your first post an insult to every member of the forum and you'll fare better. Who the hell does that and expects a warm reception? Following that up with an invitation to fight is also pretty dumb. The internet is already full of douchebags....don't be another.

- anybody know what to do about the rear window delaminating?
- anybody have an idea how to make the engine fan not go full blast for no reason? I disconnect the battery and it's fine for a while, but Wtf.
- the sliding cover plates get hung up on the regular ; is there a fix for that?

Thanks all. I enjoy the speed and like the handling, but these nickel and dime issues are an embarrassment to Chevy.

True. Another option if you want a muscle car would be a Challenger Scatpack. It seems those are in better supply and better price than the Camaro right now.

They don't handle as well BUT at least power wise is very similar numbers to the SS and it's overall a good car, minus the handling.

45k Miles on my SS 6 speed. I drive it hard and not one issue. You got a lemon.

Take the car to a good mechanic, those are all minor issues. Shouldn't cost much. But if you really hate the car, sell it.

Like the OP I’m 48. Five years ago I purchased a 63 year old car, and also like the OP, I’m a whiny bitch about one issue... Did they not drink coffee in the 50’s?? She could use at least one cup holder Its tough to shift a ‘three on the tree’ while steering, and drinking coffee lol. Rest of the car’s awesome though.

To the OP - Time for a SS 1LE, or one of the ZL1 derivatives (if you can swing it). I love these cars too much to part with them. Get another before they’re gone!

Also welcome to the forum.

Yep Pupilbone, things were different in 1953 when your Merc was built! Sometimes I wish it was that way now, less distracted drivers on the roads! A classic car for sure though and driving a three on the tree takes some practice as it’s very different than a shifter in the floor.

Welcome to the forum.

This question is very easy to answer. Sell the car you’ve lost confidence in and buy an SS 1LE. It really is that simple. I owned a 2018 SS 1LE before I sold it to purchase my ZL1 1LE and that SS 1LE was an amazing vehicle at that price point. Didn’t have one single issue with the car. Ran strong, flawlessly, on the race track and on the road. Seamlessly interchangeable in either environment. Plenty of power and great manners. It really is a muscle car, that acts like a sports car. You won’t regret it.
