i use a coke bottle cut the bottom off. i know it's clean then. then just throw it away once the oil is changed

The Mobil 1 oil containers are actually perfect for this, just cut off the bottom at an angle. The back end is held up by the strut tower and you can leave a bottle inside the cut-off bottle to finish draining.

prestone funnel... does the job, but have to admit that 10 separate quarts gets old, fast.

I used the same last night since I had a few laying around, it was easy. Not a big deal, IMO. Just hold the funnel and pour in the oil. Nothing glamorous.

Watching a stream of oil shoot out of the drain hole and almost reach the passenger tire was a sight, for sure! Glad I had a large catch pan!

I finally found a benefit of the I4 Turbo engine - the oil filler cap is parallel to the ground. So the 1/2 turn funnel will sit up perfectly vertical. Yay! I know most V8 owners would say "I'd rather have the sound, power, hood, and everything else that comes with the V8," but I have to have something positive to grasp onto...

Agreed. I’m over 2,800 miles now, average MPG is 26! It’s plenty of power for me.

Nice - where'd you get the 45 degree adapter? I have the same funnel (I think) but without an adapter the angle doesn't work.

I've been thinking of getting this setup too. But isn't there an adapter that puts the funnel straight up instead of off at an angle?

I like this setup because the funnel can sit on top rather than at an angle.
