18" Winter Rims
Can anybody tell me if 18" winter rims will fit on a 2017 2LT with the 4 piston Brembo calipers.
I used them on my 2011 2 LT, however they didn't have the Brembo calipers. I have a set of 20" split spoke rims that came with the car, however I would have to get a set of snows to fit them. Any suggestions as to which manufacturer would do 20" snow tires that would be good to use on my car. I drive it all year round and my 2011 was awesome in the snow with the 18s on it. Any ideas boys and girls. |

Would depend on offset and wheel width. Do you know those things about the wheels you are planning to use? There are some on here that have 18's with same brakes.

Not sure about the offsets, I got the steel rims with winter tires on them from the dealership when I bought the car.
What size spacers should I look at using and can I use the original studs. Thanks for the info guys, always lots of help and advice here when you need it. |

I just stuck a set of 18" vmr vb3 on my car, it cleared the ss calipers with pad weights just fine, but the holes for the lugs were too small to fit the lugs! Didnt see that coming. I'm not sure if there are skinnier lugs than stock...

Use the 'tire rack' website to figure it all out.

Are these the heritage steel wheels you're talking about? If so I don't believe they'll fit. The new base LT wheels will however. I have those on my SS. I had the steelies as my second set for my 2011 2LT.

I have a set of 18's im putting on this car next week ( after we get mailed with snow tomorrow night) and they fit the 5th Gen fine... but the 5th didn't have the Brembo...I did buy them from a guy who did have a 5th SS so I am optimistic they will be fine.
Boyer has them in a trailer right now - ill post happy thoughts when I can get the car in there. I always wait too bloody long.

Aftermarket 18's usually have M12. You will need to get tuner m14 lugs or splines. I picked up mine on ebay. Can take a pick if you need it. |

Morning All,
Okay, I had Williamson in Uxbridge try my 18" steel GM rims from my 2011 Camaro on my new 2017 with the four piston Brembo callipers. They fit, however it was close they didn't rub in any way. So I decided to add 5mm spacers to give a bit more clearance and they fit perfectly. Hope this helps anyone in the same position. Stay safe out there. Mike |

How did it work with the spacers? The thought is you need a minimum of 6-7 turns of the lug to be secure. Haven't found out if 5mm spacer allows that. It generally gets close at that point.
Any idea or can you confirm how many turns until torqued? Would be good info knowing 5mm can be slapped on with no worries.

I've got to find a set of spacers, however the dealership said there shouldn't be a problem.
When I find a set I will let you know. |
