ARH Header Discoloration
Do these look normal for 3,000 miles of use?

Was you tuned while running them? Cause looks like the engine was running lean and was creating extra heat..

No - not mine but a set listed for sale. I understand 304 can be cleaned up but these look to be extraordinarily crusty.

As long as none of the welds are cracked I would say they're fine.

Maybe a little much for 3,000 miles, but pretty normal overall.

If all the welds look good and the price is right ,buy them and have them jet hot coated. I would check on the price of New ARH coated headers and if you can save at least $300.00 go for it.

Looks like they've seen some winter road salt.
If they are cheap enough, could get them blasted and coated. Used rusty headers better be pretty cheap though. |

I got my ARH jet-hot coated before I used them. After a month of usage, they still look new.
