Front emblem??

Just got a 2019 Camaro 2SS. Thought the front emblem was black. Upon further inspection I see the center is open. Chrome trim with nothing inside. Is this normal? Or has mine come apart. Searched with no luck.

The 19 SS has a extra performance mod ..the flow tie unlike the 16 to 18 and now 20 accept the ZL1 ..it's nothing much but they made the emblem functional for extra air flow .also it's pretty easy to illuminate.
