Street SS1LE Alignment Specs
Can someone post the stock street alignment specs for the SS 1LE? I’m assuming they are the same for all 6th gen 1LEs. I found this discussion on the forum- https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=487562, however there was some conflicting/ confusing information.
What are negatives to running a track setup all the time, even for street driving? Is there significantly more tire wear? |

Significantly more wear? No
I ran -2.3 camber front and 1.6 with 0 toe for two sets of tires. That's more aggressive than the track alignment from GM. I recently whent back to track -2.0 up front and -1.5 camber in the back. Lost a little front end grip I do miss that feel but track alignment is good for daily use and track or canyons. |

Its not the camber but the toe that'll wreck tires in that context if I'm not mistaken. People think that much camber is the problem but it's toe.

Front toe kills tires. I daily on my track settings of -2.7F(0 toe)/-1.6R but I believe its more dependent on how much you drive on the street (wearing inner shoulder from camber) and track driving (how aggressive you are and how often you track to wear the outer shoulder). Mine wear evenly but I also do ~16K a year on the street and 20+ track days |

It doesn’t sound like there’s any reason to use the street set up. I have to wonder why it doesn’t come from the factory aligned to track specs. Could it be they are trying to dial in some understeer to keep inexperienced drivers out of trouble?

Something like that. Its set up to appeal to the most people possible...but it is a track day special
