I like the taillights and actually suggested this as a possibility for the first round of the gen6. The headlights on that black car look menacing in the rearview mirror too. The flow tie position is going to that getting use to.

Honestly this is truth. No one ever to my knowledge has ever liked refreshes. refreshes always get hate and then are loved in about 1-3 years. Just wait for the gen 7. Everyone will hate on it and then in 2024 people will love it. Its a cycle and GM isn't blind to it.

Yeah.
The refresh looks like a 6th gen with ugly ebay front and rear rice bumpers stuck on.

So, I know a lot of people are in shock and that seems to be the norm with any refresh. My only recommendation is to hold judgment until you can actually see the refresh in person. I personally have been fooled by pics and TV stills.

Now my personal opinions, I'm digging the I4 and SS front ends and I really like the new tail lights. I can see the comparison with the new charger a little (lower middle front fascia only) but you could say that with most any new vehicles today. I agree that the Bow Tie placement could be in the grill but I'm betting that is an airflow design. I'd like to see that front black center fascia painted body color to see how much that would change the front.

Design can be bad. Yes it is mostly subjective, but sometimes ugly can be defined with objectiveness. The Bowtie location on the SS is rediculously out of place.

It really is very ugly, or at least going in a direction many enthusiasts don't fancy. All that said, sales weren't exactly stellar, so I understand that they are trying to reach new demographics with the feline Euro look, it just doesn't speak to me the way the current Gen6 design does.
Folks may have a valid point about the 2019 going in the wrong direction if they had purchased a car that blew the sales charts out of the water...but they didn't. It reminds me of people in Texas trying to convince me the Dallas Cowboys are America's best team.

Gotta say these pictures make the refresh look a lot better. It helps that the car is black so the front meshes together nicely.

The rear tail lights are still not the best, but they are not as pronounced as they were in the reveal picture

Gm must be trying to kill off the v8 engine by uglying up the ss. People will buy the 4 and 6 cylinder models instead. It's a shame but that's what they're doin...

What’s sad about this design is that Chevy is lowering everyone’s standards of how a camaro should look like...how can you possibly accept this design? Camaro should look bold and sexy not this half Honda Civic half Chevy Malibu pos...not acceptble at all and whoever designed this should be fired ASAP, how are you a Chevy designer and look at this car after the design is done and thinking yup that looks bad ass...btw sales gonna go down hill mark my word.

We're veering slightly off topic here, but your analogy is flawed in that football also has several absolute metrics that a team can be judged by besides the size of the fan base or annual ticket revenues. If the Cowboys drew in the biggest crowds and $$$ each year (hypothetically speaking), would that make them the best?

Similarly, sales volume is an important metric for a car, but far from being the only one. At that rate those el cheapo Kias and Toyotas would be the "best" cars just because of sales. I do realize this is a classic debate and the chips won't fall either way, I just don't like sales numbers being touted as the be-all and end-all.

The disappointment here seems to be very much aligned with the effort to improve sales numbers, by the way, which is interesting. Anyway, we'll see which way both acceptance of the new design and sales will go over the next year or so
