Goodyear run flat dead after 1500 miles

Hey everyone, I got a nail in two of my Goodyear tires. One was repairable...the other is not due to the location of the nail.

My question is does anyone know if Goodyear will cover part or all the cost of replacement due to how new the tires are? They are the factory tires.

If not then definitely sucks to spend $280 on a new tire right after purchasing my Camaro SS 1.5 months ago.

Any help please...maybe someone has a contact for the Goodyear rep local to Houston TX?

Thanks!

No, unless you purchased a tire/wheel protection plan.

No protection plan purchased, however, I thought I read somewhere on here that Goodyear would help out if ultra low miles.

Have you contacted the dealer on the off chance that they will replace it? I know you don't have the protection, but its worth a call to the service manager at least.

Have your dealer try and prorate it through the GM warranty, that is what happened last year when my Michelins had to be replaced on my SRX with only 32,000 miles on them, GM sucked up most of the 4 tire replacement via the warranty...but those did have a 55,000 mile warranty, where as the GY's don't have a tread warranty. Worth a shot!

Goodyear has hooked it up on a great deal for the new tire. Discount Tire manager talked to local rep.

Thanks for the replies.
