Is the ZL1 1LE worth it?

Im looking to purchase a new zl1. If u plan to track a car only 1 or 2x per year is the ZL1 1le worth the extra money? Besides it looks awsome of course.
Thanks in advance.

Only you can decide that. Try and drive both. Some say the 1LE will hold it's value better but I'm not sure if that's true. Some say the Multimatic dampers are too rough a ride for the street but again that is opinion. The fact that the rear seats don't fold down on the 1LE was a deal breaker for me...

There are a few posts on this subject. It comes down to how you plan on using the car. I think a car with out bushings designed for the track would be a little much for the street. The track mode for the non 1LE car is no slouch. Is it worth $7500 for the 1LE? I don’t know, even though it looks cooler. Maybe you can get lucky and drive both cars.

Guys that enjoy tracking a car...a ZL1 1LE is built for them!

Well considering that the ZL1 1LE OEM Wing goes for $4000 alone I'd say the extra $7500 is a great value. However if you plan on driving the car more than a few thousand miles a year then just go with the ZL1. Your back will thank you later

The back seat does fold down, you have to go through the trunk to get to the latch.
Yes I think the 1LE is worth every penny, I could daily drive it but I guess it depends on the roads in your area.

The ZL-1 1LE does not come with an odor extractor (aka, sun roof) and that is a deal killer for me.

+1

I will put about 1500-2000 road miles a year with some track events here and there. It very much is personal opinion, you do need to drive both to be sure. The roads you drive will also be a very big factor. I do pick and choose the roads I drive and the places I go with it due to the stiffer ride and low ground clearance. Hope this helps.

I bought my ZL1 1LE for the looks mainly, and partly the track capabilities. I've yet to track the cars and enjoy driving it around town, on dates, etc. The thing looks insane and is definitely a head turner.

Last week I took my girlfriend to Pelican Hill (one of the nicest resorts in California), I was approached by multiple supercar owners asking about the 1LE. I was quite shocked to be honest, these guys are driving 400k + cars and know what a ZL1 1LE is.

I've never once been bothered by the rough ride, and I live in California which has the worst road conditions. I think it's amazing to be able to truly feel every part of the road, I feel in absolute control of the car at all times.

Test. Drive.

You're buying a $70K+ sports/track car. Only you will know if it works for you or not.

Yes I have given it a good test drive. I did not find the ride to be that harsh. It was 40 degrees and some sand on the roads so the ass end did come out going around some corners(I know the tires have to heat up) I was just wondering for the guys that will only track it 1 or 2x per year did they feel the extra $7500 for the 1LE option was worth it?
Thank u everyone for there insights it is much appreciated!
