MPG differences
Hey I'm new here and I just noticed someone on another threat mention they are getting 22 MPG with their car.
I have a 13 ss rs convert, with automatic trans. I run plus or super fuel 99 percent of the time and I only have 15k miles on the car as it's my summertime toy. I noticed that I'm only getting about 16.4 mpg though and that's a big difference from the 22 I see posted here. Anyone else here experiencing MPG's in the 20's? thanks in advance -Tony |

I have a 2013 SS coupe. It all depends on your driving habits. If you drive mostly in the city and have a bit of a heavy foot, you will average 16-18mpg. If you drive mostly interstate/highway at 75-85mph, you will see the low to mid 20mpg's. I average about 75% interstate/25% city driving and my mpg averages around 21-22.

The best I've seen is 21-21.5 if I can keep my foot out of the go pedal. But it's a M6.

Tons of exaggerations on this subject. On the interstate an SS will get about 22-23 MPG
at 75 MPH if you try real hard. Drive and enjoy and don't listen to the bs you get here.

Averaging 20.6 right now but it's like 95% highway driving
City MPG's are pretty bad

My mileage is 22.2. My average speed over the same period is 39.9.
So it's not all highway driving, but more like 50/50. I use 93 octane 100% of the time. |

I average 17.5 on 75% city driving. On a 5 hour road trip I was getting 22@ 75mph

My l99 has tune with AFM turned off, headers and cai. I drive mix of rural and highway, very little city. I put my foot into it as often as I can, getting 20mpg. Was at 21 before the AFM was turned off and stock exhaust manifold.
Like others say driving habits and commute make a difference. My other car is a hemi charger 2011. I average 20 but my wife averages 8. She has only a 1 mile commute so the cold start and shutdown 1 mile away really hurts it....OR.... SHE DRIVES THAT THING AT WOT!

I'm at 16.7 mpg, at about 75% highway miles. When my car was bone stock, I was at 18.5.

With the wind to my back, going around 70mph and using cruise control, I will get 24mph because of the AFM my L99 system has. Around the town, I'm about 16-17mph.
