Plug wires
I put new wires on my car and then found the silicone in the box. Should I pull them off and use it or is it necessary?

if i skipped it and they were already in i wouldnt bother. Probably just electric grease to assist with contact.

I would, especially if it's a daily driver. On other cars I've experienced corrosion on plug ends until I started using dielectric grease.

I would use it. It won't take but 5 minutes. If the wire supplier didn't think it was needed do you think they would include it.

Use it! Like they said they wouldn't put it in there if it wasn't needed. It keeps you from pulling a wire apart the next time you take it apart. Just twist them first don't pull first. Trust me I know I just had to buy a set of wires for my 6.0 truck because of this so I purchased a big tube of that stuff and I use it on every plug, like injectors everything! Just a small amount keeps out moisture and corrosion and light bulbs too good stuff.

Recommend!
I just took my wires off after 36k miles. They came off without damage but it took some wiggling and pulling. Any anti corrosion / anti seize is a good idea on things exposed to the elements. A little time now as compared to potentially more time / money later .... Just s humble opinion but 36 years aerospace engineering.
