HUD Blurry After Windshield Replacement

Can someone do a sanity check for me and look at these pictures? I just had my windshield replaced and I started driving it and noticed the HUD had a duplicated image. It's difficult to tell the difference between 5/6/8/9 on the digits even in its largest format.

I plan on calling the body shop tomorrow since my paperwork does not list a part number. But the description does say non-oem windshield w/ heads up display.

I stopped by a dealership on my way home and they said that's pretty normal as the old ones looks grainy. I've been in a rental car for 2 weeks so I started to think maybe I just forgot how it looked.

I plan on going to another dealership Saturday on my day off that has a 5th gen 2SS and compare side by side. But out HUD is supposed to look better than this right?

Thanks,

Thanks for the replies. If you look at the white line just adjacent to the front of the car you'll see how in focus it actually is.

The part number on the windshield is a PGW DW1813. Other threads are showing DW1877 is the one for HUD, but I cannot find a way to look up applications through PGW to confirm.

Body shop said they couldn't get around to confirming the part number today.

I was just joking around about the blurry pic. It does look like they installed the non HUD windshield. When I was shopping replacements for mine, I was told that a non hud may give it a blurry appearance. The price savings wasn't enough for me to go that route.

Wouldn't your insurance company be interested in seeing paperwork with the part number on it?

I'm sure they would know what to do about this crooked body shop.

Even a 'crooked' body shop would have to know that someone isn't going to sit still for a blurry HUD on the wrong windshield.

Was it, "Crooked Hillary's Body Shop?"
