Is my car totaled?
My Camaro hydroplaned into a center divider at approximately 60 miles an hour. It is a 2014 Camaro 1SS/M6 with 32,000 miles. 3 airbags deployed, and I had total loss of power and steering. Could any experienced people chime in on their thoughts? Thank you.

That doesn't look that bad for going 60 into anything. It depends if the frame is damaged. If it's just the rims bodywork and 3 airbags I'd say not totaled. But it's the stuff we can't see that gets real expensive. Your just going to have to wait and see what the shop says.

It looks fixeable but you don't know i guess until you dig into the underlying damage. Cost of air bags replaced add up quick

The wheels both look off center. Might be some heavy damage to the rear end and other suspension and chassis parts.

That rear wheel is pushed back a couple inches for sure. Broken or bent suspension pieces. Front left suspension whacked too. Betting chassis damage, shifted.
I'm gonna say totaled. |

No way to tell from pics. You wouldn't ask a body man to give an estimate based on a pic

Glad everyone is OK. It's hard to tell the total amount of damage done to the suspension and undercarriage from your pictures, so there is no way for anyone here to make a good call. The overall estimated cost of repairs will determine whether or not your insurance company totals it.

Thanks everyone for the input. I did notice that the wheels were looking way messed up from both sides, but since I'm not too savvy with undercarriage stuff. Thanks Polizzio for the suggestions!

Everything went well, although it was scary as hell. These are some of the toughest cars built. No whiplash, pain, or anything off of crashing at 60 MPH is pretty amazing. Thank you to everyone for your concern.

Glad you are ok.
Well, considering the replacement cost of your car is over $20k, I doubt there is $20k in damage, so no. |

The bottom line is as long as you and any passengers are physically fine, it's a win. Any car can be repaired or replaced.
