My car has been at the service department since Saturday, I called today to ask about the recall as my Vin. came up under it as well. They have nothing in their system as of yet so another dreaded trip to the dealer again will have to be...

Just checked and it came up on my phone. Mine is sitting at the dealership for ongoing issues, so I'll call them tomorrow about the recall.

I have the same issue as well with the recall. It showed up on my phone and I can even put my vin number in on the website to see that it shows my car under the recall. The service department said, "Sorry we pull up nothing with your car. We guess they must have the wrong car down. We can't even find that recall. Is your transmission giving you problems? All we can say is if you get another notice then we can look into the matter and see why it's saying there is one for your car." She never said they'd take care of it. I even read it to her to show her I wasn't making the entire thing up.

Does anyone have a picture or document, work instruction, etc. associated with this recall?
I'm trying to find out what's involved with this.
Thanks,
Dan

Took mine in today to get it checked, dealer knew about the recall. They ordered the parts and will in next week. They will cut the bolt when they replace the line as they said the inspection showed rub marks on the line. Basically gotta leave it for the day as it calls for a minimum 6 hours.

Whatttttt!!!!!! 6 hours minimum? Dam i just got my car out the shop and they still didn't have anything on their side yet. Can't stand these hardcore recalls first the oil pan retention shit and now another big job and a wasted day/$$$$$ without our cars... You know whats kinda funny is I personally been leasing cars for many years to avoid having issues to be without a car sitting at a shop. I now realize that every lease i had i lost many days of work because of recalls and minor issues on freshly new model/designed cars. Guess its just the way it is no way around it....LOL

Didn't get anything in the mail or from OnStar but I saw I had this recall when I logged into my account (I have an A8).

Hey guys, I work in a Chevrolet parts/service dept. and the official recall arrived in my corporate e-mail on 12/8 and the campaign# is 52620. There is now an official parts list, repair procedure and labor operation code so you should be able to schedule now. The replacement parts (trans cooler line and 1qt of Dexron HP) are readily available and the repair, while time-consuming, looks to be fairly non-invasive. Mine goes under the knife Tuesday.

Well, here's an update on the cooler line recall. Looks can be deceiving, when we opened the box to confirm production date on the replacement part, it looked like an aluminum octopus. There are a pair of quick-connects in the tailshaft area of the tunnel... so far so good. It's when the pipes run to the forward coolers that things get sketchy and the repair begins to look VERY invasive. From my vantage point in parts I can see it all. I may call in sick tomorrow

Repair times are .6 if no replacement parts are needed and for now 3 hours for replacement and that looks optimistic. GM technical assistance told our tech it looked like he was in for a butt-whipping.... not good.

I just looked at the bulletin. This one is a real beauty if you have to replace the line.

I would not go through the pain of this one unless the line absolutely needs to be replaced. If it doesn't I would just drop the transmission support, cut the bolt, and call it a day. I'll post the bulletin and procedure PDFs tomorrow.

Service manager at my dealership told me they are not saying what exactly it is, but there is definitely a manufacturing issue, even the replacement parts have to be checked for production date and scrapped if manufactured before 6/10/16. The issue could be wall thickness, bad crimps, bad hose or all of the above. The concern is failure of the line and fluid spraying on hot exhaust, cats, etc... I CAN tell you that after looking at the new parts, some of the hard lines will be slightly re-routed...

I've already had mine to the dealer before the recall. Mine is a line running to the rear that actually goes to the diff. It was rubbing on a bolt in the trans tunnel. The tech moved the line slightly and put a rubber cap over the bolt. Now its a recall, so that good because the bolt could have rubbed through the line. Mine wasn't the oil cooler line.
