I'm not sure the 3.91 gears would be worth it over the already stock 3.73's. I will seriously consider doing 4.10's however. The down side is that what I've read about the labor costs involved with swapping rear gears in the gen5's. Total swap costs seem to be around $1400-1800 do to having to drop the entire center section. Either way, it's something I'll seriously think about over the next few years as a 3.73 to 4.10 rear gear swap would easily be good for .20-.30 in the 1/4m. Add that with decent 305-315 series rear tires, maybe some rear suspension work, a good cat back exhaust, CAI and possibly a ported throttle body (trying to avoid a warranty voiding tune), all this should be good for 20-25rwhp, better traction and possibly .50-.60 off the 1/4m time, bringing them down to 11.70-11.80 range for the M6.
Just my thoughts.

But I might just wait for the intake and 1LE suspension parts. But I'm impatient. I already 0-60 in 3.6 with just deleted mufflers. Imo With all the mods you listed should be low 11s I'm getting my rims and tires next week and hopefully I see those drop my times. |

Do we even know if the old Camaro5 rear gears are the same as in the new rear?

Nobody believes 3.6 until we see some time slips, spoofing the timer by breaking loose the tires when you hit 2nd doesn't count.

Not trying to bash just keeping things in perspective, the ZL1 is rated at 3.5, and all you had when you got that number was straight pipe exhaust.
I just have a hard time believing your car has 150hp+ over what it's rated at to, and to get that number with skinnier tires.

You should go with the "3.9s". You will EASILY pull 3 flats!
