2023 ZL1 VS 2022 ZL1

I did a race with my buddy. We did a roll race and my 2023 ZL1 was beating his 2022 zl1 and would continue to pull at higher speeds.

His car :800 miles, no sunroof, a10, and roto fab intake.
my 23 zl1: 800 miles, sunroof, a10, and stock intake.

both had passengers. I wonder why mine was a bit faster..?

Driver mod is probably what any one can say they're statistically identical and the intake or sunroofs have no real impact on any of it there was def no difference in performance from year-to-year.

We both had it in manual mode and shift the nob as soon as we gunned it.

No reason for them to be greatly different and they would be so close it wouldn't be worth discussing. If there was a great difference it can only be the driver or the slower car has an unknown issue. They are all the same.

Do both vehicles drivers and passengers weigh roughly the same? Did you both have the same amount of fuel onboard? Weight is more important than you think. ~100-150lbs can make a difference.

You fill up at the same station? These cars can be very knock sensitive and pull timing accordingly.

There's no difference between the cars then. Those numbers wouldn't be noticeable in a straight up drag race.

I found the exact opposite?
I raced a 2023 from a 60 mph roll with my 2022.
I left him like he was chained to a tree.
I think the 2023 runs like Dog Chit.

I'm sure I'll get beat up on this but....

Seems like that intake that claims to make more power (on a dyno and the hood up) than the stock airbox actually doesn't (with the hood down and not on a dyno).
