I don't believe Hennessey
https://youtu.be/huXqlacnQOA
I saw this yesterday. A 900 hp TRX against a stock 1 LE auto, and the TRX beats the 1LE from a dig? I call bullshit. My 2018 launches way harder than shown in the video. The TRX has 250 more horsepower, but probably weighs 2000 pounds more. |

No it's possible since the truck has AWD.
Typically whenever someone pits something against a ZL1 to showcase it they'll pick the ZLE if its drag or launching or top speed because that'll give them the biggest advantage against the Camaro. I'm surprised they didn't make it a M6 ZLE for good measure. So yea a highly modded truck with 900 HP at the tires can beat a stock ZLE. BTW I've seen highly modded 800 WHP F150s running well into the 10s out here. Also figure that stock Trackhawks are in the 11s bone stock. So it is possible. Whether it's a fair or even reasonable race is another question entirely. |

I know the ZL-1 is not unbeatable but the footage from the second run doesn't even seem like the engine is revving very high.
Just having the car in Sport and flooring it would give it some wheel spin and two black lines on the pavement. I'm very skeptical but I see your point. |

It all looks great for the truck until there is a turn eventually. Lol!

Well I'd say, including the cost of that truck and now with Hennessey's cost it's a 200k truck......so I sure hope with that much in it, it should win. LOL

Well the TRX is all time 4wd vs the RWD Camaro. 4wd and AWD will always have more consistent launches than RWD....on the street.
The TRX stock 0 - 60 shows anywhere from 3.7 to 4.1 so with another 200 BHP that will make the truck faster to 60 than a stock ZL1. This is Hennessy so they could just be sand bagging the ZL1 to make the TRX look faster. |

One thing we forgot... Its Hennessey. Maybe they made all the money they want on the camaro and now to sell a TRX package and rip off some more new customers...
Looks like the guy in camaro is barely even hitting the throttle.

6300-6450 is where mine shifted when stock, pulling it from my logs.

Guys. The stock TRX will go 0 - 60 in roughly 4 seconds. The stock ZL1 is a 3.7 or so 0 - 60. So stock for stock the ZL1, on paper, wins.
So adding another 200 BHP and it being full time 4wd, it'll launch harder and more consistent and beat a ZL1. Yes it weighs nearly 7k lbs but it moves out from a standstill very well. |

Why use a 1LE knowing its slower though? Its just another typical hennessey sales pitch.

Or perhaps this is what they had on hand. But typically, whenever you see a ZL1 up against something, the ZL1 gets the handicap. |
