Any college students with 6th gen SS?
Just wondering how many of us in college currently own a 6th Gen SS.

I am a college student, and I own a ‘17 SS.
But I’m also 51 years old, so I’m probably not who you were thinking of with your question. 😀 |

Probably same college student who complains about being in over his head in debt.. if you taking out loans for school.. more loans for car is.... stupid. eps BIG loans. Used honda civic or corolla ftw.

The Camaro was my graduation gift to myself. A semester early, but still!

I wouldnt have had a spitting chance affording my SS while I was going to college. Even the V6 would have been out of range.

Me either. I worked my ass off during my junior and senior year of high school and the best car I could afford was an old Acura Integra with 90,000 miles on it. I have NO idea how a college student can afford a 6th gen Camaro SS. The insurance rates alone would be out of my budget. But, hey, if I could have bought one when I was in college, I certainly would have!

Believe it or not a camaro ss is cheaper to insure and buy than my truck. My 2019 ss was 15,000 dollars less than my pick up. A 2ss is about 8,000 less. The payment on the camaro is about 40% less than the pick up. I always had the same thought as you on insurance and cost of getting one. |

Shouldn't be surprising. I'm a clinical Instructor for 2 local universities. Both have the usual assortment of sports and luxury cars...BMW, Benz, Audi, Porsche, etc... Now who is paying for them and how is another question. Doubt many full timers are pulling in $600-$1000 a month, extra in stock dividends.
