I still am a fan of the current format.....that said, I appreciate any and all work done for the current and future list.

Hey Luan.....hope you had a great summer, where did it go?!?
Was a few weeks ago on 9/10 with MVP, but finally got my .23 at RA. Very pleased! Same mods as the prior PB. Just continued improvement on the driver mods. That said.....the Damn Garmin is clearly mocking me with the optimal lap time.... Hard to get clean laps in an HPDE to get there, but will be a fun target to shoot for in 2023 at some of the open track events! Will you be at Mid-Ohio this weekend??

I think some of you may have misunderstood the tire statement. The list would essentially stay as is, just separated into the vehicles. The tires used would still remain as a listed mod.
Let me clarify. I understand the difference between street tires and slicks, and how greatly they affect the lap times. What I DO NOT want to end up doing is having someone on the list with a separate lap time for Hoosier A7's, Hoosier R7's, Pirelli Scrubs, SC3's and Michelins while everything else remains the same. I think everyone on this list understands the importance of tires and how they affect the lap times. If your personal best came on stock tires and then you switched to those SAME TIRES but a square setup, I'm not leaving both times up. It gets repetitive and it convolutes the list. If we agree to keep the list as-is, and only differentiating the difference between a street tire and a non-street tire (e.g., ONE entry on Hoosiers and ONE entry on Street tires), I still think seeing the list separated by performance variant is helpful. ZL1 / SS / V6 & Turbo 4 Does what I am saying make sense? I want everyone's opinions on this. I am merely a curator, and this list will live on past my time, so I want to make sure it's in good hands now, and into the future.

I am good with your 2 tire version. It’s kinda like, “Here’s my best on stock tires” and “Here’s my best with slicks and everything needed to get this time” For those disappointed with not seeing their name umpteen times, note it might just be your ego. |

How many entries are you expecting to see for the V6 & Turbo 4? Very few folks track these cars, yet your plan dedicates 1/3 of the available entries to these cars. I know you mean well, but honestly, the rules you are trying to put in place do not improve on anything and make many things worse. The whole issue stems around trying to keep everything managed in a forum post rather than a proper tool. Rules aren't going to fix that. Inevitably, whatever you decide to exclude to keep the forum post manageable, someone is going to want.

Personally, I've mentioned that having more data is better, but I've never actually requested to have more than two entries at a time (one for 200TW+ and one for DOT slicks). I admittedly don't read every post, but I don't recall anyone requesting more than two.

I appreciate the feedback everyone. Ultimately the forum is not the greatest option, however it's been working.
Still open to other ideas.

Leaving the list 'as is' provides value. If anything, more value could be attained by allowing submissons with different tires setups on an otherwise identical car as it allows people to see lap time progression from different tire/wheel combos which helps people make decisiosn on how to spend their money. But yeh, more work for yourself so ok to lose.
Absolutely should leave all OEM configue SCG3/SCG3R times as it's the most like-for-like. Moving to Top 10 & plateform categories seems unnessary and additional work for yourself while eventually will have fewer OEM config cars on the list. Most tracks have less than 20 times, people can easily figure it out on their own if they care. Thanks for maintaining this thread |

My prior platform kept a Google Doc for all this info. Not suggesting it, just showing another option.
