Getting new rims, black or black/red? What looks better? - Page 2

OP, those rims have a lot of bling and may look overplayed on your black Camaro. I like the 1le rims, gloss black, red calipers and the final touch, a red pin stripe around the edge of the rim. This will give your car some depth and dimension to the wheels without being overstated. Regardless...it's what ever makes you happy.

Too much black in my opinion. I also have a red accent color black car but added a little bling to the black/machined/stainless lip wheels and red calipers, stripes. I just don't like black wheels on a black car, looks kind of maudlin.

Hey, audiocity is like the only company selling a decent pair of red/black wheels out there. You could get other rims painted custom, but yeah.

I like your car. The low-key red stripes are definitely one of the options I'm considering. Either something like those, or the redline edition stripes.

I personally like red anodized wheels or even black wheels with a red barrel but, not too much forward facing red, however. I'll try to attach some pics so you can see what I mean...

I would be worried about brake dust and road debris damaging the red part over time and cleaning them. I don't know how bad the stock SS brakes dust, but get some Powerstop Z26 pads at the same time. They virtually eliminate brake dust and still work great on the street.

If you still would rather not "follow the crowd" with black, how about these?
Also at Audiocity Wheels but 2x the price at $2K. Would look great on a black car with some matching bronze graphics.

Don't get me wrong guys, I don't hate black. Looks very good on some of our cars. It is getting to be a fad any more tho..

I think red would look good if you add a red hash mark, like in post #7 (https://www.shopchevyparts.com/exter...-92290250.html) . Maybe even get the OEM red front grille (https://www.shopchevyparts.com/grill...-92290244.html) because to me just red on the wheels is odd, but if you've got a few red accents, it works. And there's also this, it has red accents https://www.shopchevyparts.com/exter...-92290249.html

Everyone is different, but black on black is somewhat overdone and well, too black. The stock silver wheels look pretty good too, it breaks up all that black and it's silver wheels on black is a great combo too.
