My first Z/28
This is a 1973 Z/28 I bought new in March of '73 from White Chevrolet in Lima Ohio. I paid ~$4500 out the door for it and it was an automatic car. I added the Motion Performance/L-88 hood and paint as well as the Cragar SS wheels with Goodyear N/50-15s on 15x10's. I didn't do any major performance mods because I was in college and funds were scarce plus it was my daily driver at the time.
Sorry about the distorted angle from the pic that makes the rear wheel look like it's falling off as well as the trim on the garage door at an angle. Not sure what caused that but probably was caused by the cheap camera I used to take the picture way back then. It wasn't my first Camaro -that was a gold '70 with the 'robust' 307 and 3 speed on the floor manual trans. I traded that in on the '73. I've had a BUNCH of other Z/28s over the years including a '70, a few IROC Z's in the '80s, a '95, a '98, a 2000 model, and now this 5th gen. I've loved every one of them. But this Z/28 was a blast to drive and was my first Z/28. I loved that car!

1981 Z28 in my sig. Loved that car! Even if it only had 175HP and my V6 would beat it.

Mine was and 87 IROC with 305 TPI - I wanted the stick! I also had T-tops - loved that car! Bought from my buddy Mike, we grew up together and his Dad had a Chevy dealer, he passed not long after that from cancer. So in his honor my 15 Z/28 is named "Mike".

Here's my venerable old 1979 Z28 at a local drive in meet and greet. After years of working as a civil servant and not being able to afford much in the way of upgrades, I retired and started a second career. Last October I replaced the tired old 175hp 350 with a nicely built 400hp (est) 350. Soon I hope to get some body work done and get the wheels refinished. I bought her new when I was in the US Army back on 23-Oct-1979. She was a late built 79 and had 1980 Camaros parked all around her on the Chevy lot. I had to buy her, and here she is going on 38 years later!

'81 was our first Z28. Also had the '93 -first one on the road in our state, which was fun attention for a while.
